The administrator went and drove marks into twelve birches, and by morning only the marks were gone. I never touched them, so if you're curious, ask the forest.
The cost of the markers is already entered in the border ledger. Whoever pulled them, the village is the one who settles the account.
Next time I'll post a man beside the markers. Within arrow's reach.
I won't mention that all twelve markers burned real nice in my tavern hearth.
